Good to read it has helped, I would think the best idea would only be to enable that when needed to access it for the electronic id, I see it is from a quick search. As I said I gave up on the Debian packages so long ago I cannot remember when. Back in the days the we care about our users crowd there, allowed it to fester and root as it was against policy to update packages after release of stable. I see they now allow things like that to be updated finally.
But, following @RedGreen925 , I investigated extensions. I’m not an extension guy (Adblock, Bitwarden and Consent-o-matic, that’s all) but I realized that I had recently enabled the Belgian Eid official extension (from the government). Disabling this extension seems to make the issue a lot less intrusive. I think there’s are still some freezes but very short ones. The fact that @Legimet has the issue too point toward a problem with the package.
