Beginners Questions • [O/S] How to upgrade from 12.8 to 12.9

This seems to be a bug in Gnome Software:

I had the same issue when I moved to 12.8, now I know why. I am pretty sure I got my sources.list from the wiki, anyway, the update to 12.9 went without a hitch but now I wonder if I may be missing any security updates.
