Hardware • usb port problems

so on sid, it has recently happened that the boot process stops on usb initialisation

i see this when i boot in recovery mode. and it halts with usb discovery. i have a keyboard and mouse.

i can boot into arch linux and windows 11 without a problem

a generic google search doesn't help much
