Graphical Environments & Desktops • transplat Linux Mint Cinnamon icons to Debian Cinnamon??

System icons are generally in /usr/share/icons. You should be able to copy those folders with zero problem. Put in same place on Debian although /usr/local/share/icons would be more approriate.

I would recommend putting icons that don't come with your distribution in ~/.icons or ~/.local/share/icons. Actually what I do is symlink ~/.icons to ~/.local/share/icons so I can keep all my custom icons in one place
