Thank you for your reply and apologies for this very(!!) tardy response. I am sorry but I can no longer provide the screenshot that you request. To solve my problem, I downloaded Qt Creator from the official Qt website using the online installer. This installed Qt Creator along with the "missing" kits. I haven't yet had time to verify the installation but at least the "basics" seem to be there and accessible. To show the difference between the repo version of Qt Creator and that available from the official website, I had no idea that there was a Qt Creator Maintenance Tool until I used the online installer.
